Textile Art
For several years now I have referred to myself as a textile artist. I use many different techniques in my work, most of which include some kind of stitch/ stitches.
I mostly use a multimedia approach to my work but I am also an enthusiast of free machine embroidery.
I like to work fairly small and enjoy creating texture and detail in my work.
I enjoy creating designs and use a variety of approaches, sketches, mixed media sketchbook work. I also like to use a computer graphics program to develop and manipulate my sketches and designs.
I am a bit of a free spirit and like to work on the basis of ‘What if’. Sometimes this produces some really pleasing outcomes and some disasters too!!
