These workshops have been designed to provide an introduction to using the computer for the basic elements of design and ideas which can then interpreted into stitched textiles, be  they embroidered, quilted or pieces of textile art.

 

All the screen shots and instructions given are for Photoshop Elements 5 (previous versions of Photoshop Elements will also meet the needs of the course).

 

There are a number of Graphics programs on the market and many of the features explained in the workshops will easily be recognised if you are using a program other than the one specified for these workshops.

the basic tools and skills required to create designs based on line

file naming, saving , storing and printing

health and Safety considerations when using computers and peripherals

printing on paper
