Since starting on my journey, in 2002 as a Textile Artist, I have completed my City & Guilds in both Creative Embroidery and Creative Sketchbooks.

I studied Creative Embroidery as a distance learner with the

School of Stitched Textiles and Creative Sketchbooks, also as a distance Learner, with Linda and Laura Kemshall.

I am now a tutor for the School of Stitched textiles for the City & Guilds course Creative Computing into Stitched Textiles - Level 1  and will shortly begin writing the modules for Level 2.

I have recently brought out my own set of CD’s  ‘From Design to Stitch for beginners’. An introduction to using a graphics program to create designs that can be interpreted in stitch.

My main interest is free machine embroidery, creating new and interesting techniques and effects,  but I also enjoy and use many traditional hand embroidery techniques.

I am a member of the Embroiderers’ Guild, and am currently a serving member of the North West Region Committee as the Region Secretary.

I also give talks and workshops.  For further information on talks and workshops please click the links button above.

I recently became a member of One Step On - a group of Textile Artists based in West Lancashire.

This year I am making my appearance for the first time as a tutor at Alston Hall, Longridge, Preston teaching a course entitiled ‘Design to Stitch’.  This is a one day course based on the first of my three disks which serve as an introduction for beginners in using a graphics program, in particular Photoshop Elements,, on how to create new and interesting designs .
